Prayash Adhikari

Prayash Adhikari is a committed advocate for sustainable agriculture and environmental justice. He is doing his postgraduate in Agri-Botany and Conservation Ecology at Tribhuwan University. He has been working with youth and communities on Climate and Agriculture issues since 2015. He serves as an advisory board member for a Lamjung youth network and a national network that focuses on topics such as climate change, youth activism, and agriculture. He is the author of the Book “Gender Workload analysis In Firewood Collection: Case of Kailali, Nepal” from Lamber Academic Publications.
Prayash was engaged in coordinating national and regional climate convergence events in various Nepalese cities in collaboration with the Digo Bikas Institute in 2017 and 2018. He also participated in COP 27 in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt from DBI in 2022. He has a keen interest in climate change issues, activism, and community-based solutions, as opposed to false solutions imposed on communities on a global and local scale. He currently works as a Program Officer at the Digo Bikas Institute, where he focuses on themes such as youth involvement, agroecology, environmental justice, loss and damage, and climate research. He has also represented the Nepalese youth community on climate issues in national and international forums and presented his work and ideas on climate and agriculture challenges.
