Omkar Subedi

Omkar Subedi is a research fellow at Digo Bikas Institute under the sustainable watch program. He is a recent bachelor’s graduate in Forestry from Kathmandu Forestry College with a strong passion for climate change and sustainability and has been actively involved in various projects
and initiatives related to these topics during his academic studies. Besides his educational background, he is keen on volunteering. He has been an active volunteer in Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) as a regional coordinator for more than two years now.

He believes research is the foundation for any field of study and especially in climate change, proper study and research is needed before pursuing any climate campaigns. In doing so he has prior research experience with research in climate change trends in Birendranagar, Surkhet and perception research about climate change among children alongside Save The Children. With respect to climate change, his involvement in projects related to air pollution with Clean Energy Nepal had increased his horizon in the field of environmental sustainability.
