Arati Poudel

Arati Poudel is a climate researcher with a special interest in climatic extremes. She did her master’s by research in physical geography with a specialization in hydro-meteorology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

She has published a scientific paper on the temperature extremes of Nepal in the International Journal of Climatology. While pursuing her undergraduate in Environment science she was involved in youth-led climate activism, climate policy research, and consultations since 2013.

Before joining DBI, Arati worked as a Researcher at Kathmandu center for research and education (KCRE), CAS-TU. She sees herself working as a climate scientist in the future.
