Digo Bikas Institute (DBI) and National Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (NIDWAN) collectively organised “People’s Workshop on NDC” to discuss the NDC process in Nepal from a Climate justice lens, connecting NDC with grassroots and marginalised communities. Participants shared the people’s observations on the NDC and its process, and discussed how Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), grassroots movements, youth networks, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, and other stakeholders contribute to the process further.
Dr. Maheshwor Dhakal, Chief, Climate Change Management Division, MoFE, presented Climate Change Policy, Naps and Nepal’s NDC 3.0, which was followed by a group discussion on how NDC relates to our lives and livelihoods, its effective engagement and our contribution and expectation and way forward on the NDC process.
