Bijaya Subba

Bijaya Subba has long engaged in broader social issues for marginalized communities and has grounded experience of working for identity, language, justice advocacy with rural communities in different parts of Nepal. 

She has worked in the Chepang community and in Karnali for decades, in issues of holistic wellbeing and later worked on formal education recognizing it to be a medium for systemic reform. She is always open to ideas and especially puts effort to ensure engagement and participation of the marginalized in all settings.

At present, she is an Operations Manager at the Centre for Educational Policies and Practices (CEPP) through which she works to improve public schools through policy reforms at different levels and ground team mobilization. She previously worked with Karnali livelihoods and empowerment and women’s reproductive rights and Education for All Chepang on education, indigenous and reproductive issues.

She is also organized many training, workshops, and seminars for school management committees, child-friendly teachers, education activists, life skills, Psychosocial and rights-based approaches to development.
